FAO also verifies disease events from additional sources including country or regional project reports, technical reports, scientific articles, partner Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), cooperating institutions, public domain sites, media search engines and web-based animal and human health surveillance systems (e.g. GPHIN, PROMED, Health Map)
